Faculty members may consider integrating generative AI (GAI) tools into course design and curriculum. Including clear and explicit guidelines on the use of GAI in course syllabi can be beneficial. It is recommended that GAI integration aligns with learning objectives and supports student-centered learning.
Faculty members might review their assessment methods considering the use of GAI. Assignments should focus on evaluating students’ understanding and skills, not the capabilities of GAI tools. When using GAI-supported assessment tools, it’s important to ensure fairness and inclusivity.
Faculty members should explain the principles of academic integrity related to generative AI (GAI) and set a good example for students. Including ethical issues around GAI use in course content can be helpful. It’s also important to consider the effects of GAI on copyright and intellectual property.
